1. Remove the front door trim (see Removing and installing front door trim).

2. Remove the inner door handle from the inner door panel (see Replacing the inner handle of the front door lock actuator).

3. Pry up the inner handle cable holder…

4….remove it from the inner door panel.
NOTE: It is necessary to remove the inner handle because it is difficult to disconnect the drive cable from the lock installed on the door. It is more convenient to remove the lock together with the cable, and to disconnect the cable from the handle, it is necessary to remove the handle.
5. Remove the front door window regulator (see Replacing the front door window regulator).
6. Remove the front door outer handle (see Replacing the outside handle and front door lock switch).

7. Press the lock and disconnect the front door lock electric drive wiring harness connector.

8. Remove the three screws securing the lock on the rear end of the door.

9. Remove the front outer handle seal…

10….unscrew the screw securing the lock to the outer door panel…

11….and remove the lock, removing it through the technological hole in the door panel.

NOTE: This is what the front door lock looks like when removed together with the inside handle and outside handle base.

12. To remove the base of the outer handle, use a screwdriver to press the retaining flange on the lock connector…

13….and remove the handle base from the connector.

14. Disconnect the rod from the lock switch lever.

15. Use a screwdriver to spread the two cable sheath stop fasteners.

16. Remove the sheath stop from the holder and, lifting the cable sheath so that the cable aligns with the groove on the lever…

17….remove the cable end from the hole in the lever…

18….and remove the base of the outer handle.

19. To remove the cable, use a screwdriver to spread the two clamps of the outer handle cable sheath stop and remove the sheath stop from the holder.

20. Turn the cable end so that its rectangular protrusion coincides with the groove in the lever…

21….and remove the cable of the outer handle of the front door.

22. To remove the connector, use a screwdriver to press the connector lock and, holding it in the pressed position..

23….press the second lock…

24….and remove the connector from the lock.
25. Install the front door lock and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
