Replacing the rear door lock (Mondeo 4)

You will need: TORX T20 and T30 keys, a flat-blade screwdriver.

1. Remove the rear door trim (see Removing and installing rear door trim).

2. Remove the inner handle of the rear door lock actuator (see Replacing the inner handle of the rear door lock actuator).

NOTE: It is necessary to remove the inner handle because it is difficult to disconnect the drive cable from the lock installed on the door. It is more convenient to remove the lock together with the cable, and to disconnect the cable from the handle, it is necessary to remove the handle.


3. Remove the rear door window regulator (see Replacing the rear door window regulator).

4. Remove the rear door outer handle (see Replacing the rear door exterior handle).
