Withdrawal


1. Remove the timing belt. For more information, refer to the Timing Belt chapter found in this section.

2.
NOTE: Marking FRONT (BEFORE) and the position of the thrust washer of the timing belt pulley.


Remove the pulley from the crankshaft.
  • 1. Remove the crankshaft pulley hub.
  • 2.Remove the key and thrust washer of the timing belt.



3. Remove the crankshaft front oil seal.



Installation


1.
NOTE: Proper seating of the sealing lug on the mounting sleeve.



Slide the crankshaft front oil seal onto the special tool, approximately to the middle.



2. Slide the special tool onto the crankshaft until it reaches the stop.

3. By hand, move the crankshaft front oil seal over the special tool and onto the crankshaft so that the seal rests against the oil seal holder.



4. Disconnect the special tool.

NOTE: Use vibration damper bolt (damper) crankshaft.


Install the crankshaft front oil seal in place using the special tool.



6.
NOTE: Marking FRONT (BEFORE) and the position of the thrust washer of the timing belt pulley.



Install the crankshaft pulley hub.
  • 1.Install the key and thrust washer of the timing belt.
  • 2.Install the pulley on the crankshaft.



7. Put on the timing belt. For more information, refer to the Timing Belt chapter found in this section.
