Intake manifold — removal and installation

Withdrawal


1. Remove the fuel manifold. See Section 303-04A / 303-04B / 303-04C / 303-04D / 303-04E / 303-04F / 303-04G for more information.

2. Raise and support the vehicle. See Section 100-02 for more information.

3. Turn out the bottom bolt of fastening of an inlet collector.



4. Lower the car.

5. Disconnect the engine lifting lug from the cylinder head.



6. Disconnect the plug connector of the idle air control sensor (IAC).



7. Disconnect the throttle position sensor connector (TR).




8. Disconnect the intake manifold duct control actuator cable (IMRC) from IMRC lever (for clarity, the intake manifold assembly is shown removed).
  • 1.Turn the IMRC lever.
  • 2.Remove the IMRC actuator cable.



9. Disconnect the IMRC actuator cable from the intake manifold assembly (for clarity, the intake manifold assembly is shown removed). Release the locking elements of the cable of the IMRC actuator.



10. Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the throttle body.




11. Disconnect the pipeline of the vacuum amplifier of brakes from an inlet collector. Release the quick coupling and disconnect the vacuum brake booster line.



12. Separate two sections of an inlet collector.



13. Disconnect the knock sensor connector (KS) from the inner section of the intake manifold.




14. Remove the locknut and remove the bolts securing the inner section of the intake manifold (for clarity, the intake manifold is shown removed). Discard the locknut as it is no longer needed.



15. Turn out a hairpin of fastening of internal section of an inlet collector.



16. Remove sections of an inlet collector.

Installation


1.
NOTE: Clean and inspect the intake manifold gasket. Install a new intake manifold gasket if necessary.


NOTE: Install a new intake manifold locknut.


Reinstall the elements in reverse order.
