Fiesta engines are equipped with a device for preliminary heating of the intake air, which ensures uniform operation of the engine in the cold season. The heating device is controlled by the intake air temperature sensor 1 (Fig. 7.4), the air is heated in the hot exhaust manifold. The fuel-air mixture passing through the air flow meter forms a more homogeneous consistency as a result of this heating.
