Symptoms of Intake Air Preheating Malfunctions

Intake air preheating malfunctions are most often manifested in a decrease in engine power and an increase in fuel consumption. An insecure or improperly installed preheater hose can lead to the same symptoms.

In the cold season

• After starting a cold engine, there is an unstable idling during the engine warm-up stage.

• Unstable transitions when measuring engine operating modes, the engine runs intermittently.

During the warm season

Reduced engine power, maximum vehicle speed is difficult to achieve.

• Increased fuel consumption.
