Passive anti-theft system transceiver (Focus 1)

Removal

1. Remove the audio control switch (if equipped).

• 1. Using a thin-tipped screwdriver, release the locking element.
• 2. Disconnect the electrical connector of the audio control switch.

2. Remove the lower steering column cover.



3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the PATS transmitter.



4. Remove the PATS transmitter.

• 1. Remove the PATS transmitter mounting screw.
• 2. Remove the PATS transmitter.

Installation

1. To install, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.
