Front Caliper Piston Retractor 206-005 (12-014)

Withdrawal


WARNING: If brake fluid comes into contact with the paintwork, the affected area must be washed immediately with cold water.


1. Loosen wheel nuts.

2. Raise and support the vehicle. See Section 100-02 for more information.

3. Remove the wheel.

4. Disconnect the brake hose from the support bracket.



5. Disconnect the outer brake shoe mounting clip.

NOTE: Pull the caliper out to release the piston.



Disconnect the caliper.
  • 1.Remove the bolt covers.
  • 2.Remove the bolts.



7. Hang up a support in order to avoid pressure upon a brake hose.



8. Raise the outer brake pad mounting clip over the spring-loaded clamping tabs.



9. Remove the outer brake shoe.



10. Remove the inner brake shoe.




Installation


1.
CAUTION: If the caliper piston is retracted into the housing, brake fluid will be forced out of the brake master cylinder.


Fully push the caliper piston inward.



2.
CAUTION: Before installing, make sure the disc surface is clean.


Install the inner brake pad.



3.
CAUTION: Before installing, make sure the disc surface is clean.



Install the outer brake pad.



4. Push the outer clip of the mount over the spring-loaded grippers



5. Install the caliper.
  • 1.Install the bolts.
  • 2.Install the bolt covers.



6. Install the brake hose to the support bracket.



7. Establish a clip of fastening of an external brake pad.




8. Install wheels.



9. Check the brake fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir.
