Withdrawal


All cars

WARNING: If brake fluid comes into contact with the paintwork, the affected area must be washed immediately with cold water.


1. Release the parking brake.

2. Remove wheels. See Section 204-04 for more information.

Vehicles with anti-lock brakes

3. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor.



All cars

CAUTION: Do not remove the brake drum using the hub nut.


Remove the brake drum assembly with the hub.



5. Disconnect the brake shoes from the wheel cylinder.



6. Remove the wheel cylinder.


  • 1.Disconnect the nipple connection of the brake pipe.
  • 2.Remove the bolts.



Installation


Attach the lower suspension arm (right side shown).

1. Install the wheel cylinder.
  • 1.Install the bolts.
  • 2. Connect the nipple connection of the brake pipe.

CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the wheel cylinder boots.


Connect the brake pads to the wheel cylinder.



3. Establish a brake drum in gathering with a nave.

4. Install the wheel speed sensor.



All cars

5. Install the wheels. See Section 204-04 for more information.

6. Remove air from the brake system. See Section 206-00 for more information.

7. Apply the brake pedal to perform automatic adjustment.
