Acceleration sensor — removal and installation

Withdrawal

1. Remove the right front seat. See Section 501-10 for more information.

2. Remove the panel of finishing of an overlay of a threshold of a door. See Section 501-05 for more information.

3. Remove the pillar trim panel «IN». See Section 501-05 for more information.

NOTE: Before removing, make sure the tailgate sill trim panel is separated from the lower pillar trim panel «IN».

Remove the bottom trim panel «IN».



5. Partially detach the mat.



6. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor assembly with accelerometer from the floor panel



7. Disconnect the accelerometer connector.



8. Remove the accelerometer. Remove the accelerometer bracket.

Installation

WARNING: Do not use a damaged accelerometer. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury.

WARNING: Make sure the accelerometer is positioned correctly. Failure to follow this instruction may result in injury.

CAUTION: The accelerometer will be damaged if dropped.

When installing, follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
