Removal
1. General notes:
- Before beginning repairs, remove the lower trim panel, door window, interior trim panels, inner fender, seat cushion, rear seatback, seat belt, door seal, and lock striker.
- Move flooring and electrical wiring away from the work area.
2. Rear side panel
- 1. Remove the seal mounting panel.
- 2. Cutting places.
Installation
1.
NOTE: Apply two-component metal adhesive immediately prior to installing the new replacement part.
Rear side panel
- 1. Using a spot welder, weld the backing strip along the cut edge and make a continuous weld using MIG technology.
- 2. Apply two-component metal adhesive.
2. Rear side panel
- 1. Perform a continuous weld using MIG technology.
- 2. Perform a stutter weld using MIG technology.
- 3. Perform puddling welding.
- 4. Crimp the joint of the wheel arch sections and perform spot welding.
- 5. Install the seal mounting panel.
