Removal
1. General notes:
- Depending on the nature of the damage, it is also possible to perform a sectional replacement of the rear side panel (see operation No.44 512 0).
- Remove the following components: bumper, taillight, tailgate seal, tailgate, air vent retainer, fuel filler cap, fuel filler neck, door window, interior trim panels, interior fender, seat cushion, rear seatback, seat belt, roof liner, roof rail protector, lower trim panel, and lock striker.
- Move flooring and electrical wiring away from the work area.
- Note the cutout for the replacement part at the joint between the rear side panel and the lower trim panel.
2. Note
- If there is corresponding damage, the rear side panel can be replaced together with the roof beam. This requires careful cutting.

- 1. Remove the seal mounting panel
- 2. Cutting places.
Installation
1. Rear side panel
- 1. Welding seam using MIG technology
- 2. Using spot welding, weld a backing strip along the cut edge and perform MIG welding.
- 3. Apply flange sealant before installation. Bend back the wheel arch flange joint and make a point contact.
- 4. Puddling welding
- 5. Before installing the new spare part, weld the reinforcement plate.
