Rear seat back — disassembly and assembly

Disassembly


1. Raise the rear seat cushion.

2. Disconnect the lower fastening of the central back seat belt.



3. Remove a back of a back seat.



4. Remove the headrest (And).



5. Remove the trim of the seat back lock button.



6. Remove each head restraint guide tube.


  • 1. Use a screwdriver to release the locking tab.
  • 2. Remove the head restraint guide tube from the seat back.



7. Remove the rear seat back mat (eight clamps).



8. Disconnect a strip of fastening of a cover of a back of a seat.



9. Disconnect the seatback cover from the seatback lock button.




10. Detach the foam padding from the seat back lock button.

NOTE: Unlocking the seatback latch allows the seatbelt to be moved when the seatback is in the normal upright position.


Unlock the seat back latch.

NOTE: New seat belts are equipped with a seat belt webbing retainer, which is not exclusive to Focus vehicles. Do not use any other fastening method.



Insert the seat belt anchor.



13. Disconnect the central rear seat belt guide.
  • 1. Move the tape to gain access to the latches.
  • 2. Drill out the rivets.



14. Remove the central seat belt guide.



15. Remove the center armrest (in the presence of).
  • Loosen each finger with the adjuster.



16. Remove the armrest base plate.


  • Unfasten the fixing tabs.



17. Detach the center rear seat belt from the seat cover and foam.



18. Remove the seat cover and foam pad.



19. Remove the seat cover from the foam pad.
  • Remove twelve bent rings.



Assembly


1. To assemble, follow the disassembly procedure in reverse order.
