Disassembly
1. Raise the rear seat cushion.
2. Disconnect the lower anchor of the center rear seat belt.

3. Remove the rear seat back.

4. Remove the headrest(s).

5. Remove the seat back lock button trim.

6. Remove each headrest guide tube.
- 1. Use a screwdriver to release the locking tab.
- 2. Remove the headrest guide tube from the seat back.

7. Remove the rear seat back mat (eight clips).

8. Detach the seat back cover fastening strip.

9. Disconnect the seat back cover from the seat back lock button.

10. Remove the foam pad from the seatback release button.

NOTE: Unlocking the seatback latch allows the seat belt to be moved when the seatback is in the normal upright position.
Unlock the seat back latch.

NOTE: New seat belts are equipped with a seat belt webbing anchor, which is not unique to Focus vehicles. Do not use any other method of securing.
Insert the seat belt webbing retainer.

13. Disconnect the center rear seat belt guide.
- 1. Move the tape to access the fasteners.
- 2. Drill out the rivets.

14. Remove the center seat belt guide.

15. Remove the center armrest (if equipped).
- Loosen each finger using the adjusting tool.

16. Remove the armrest base plate.
- Release the locking tabs.

17. Remove the center rear seat belt strap from the seat cover and foam pad.

18. Remove the seat cover and foam pad.

19. Remove the seat cover from the foam pad.
- Remove twelve bent rings.

Assembly
1. To assemble, follow the disassembly procedure in reverse order.
