You will unmistakably recognize a worn (slipping) clutch when accelerating the car in high gear or driving in the mountains. The engine runs at high speeds, but the speed of movement does not increase. To be warned in time, it is better to check the clutch before the garage, although only if you have a reasonable suspicion, since the test will make the clutch sweat well. Before you get down to business, firmly engage the handbrake.
Stages of work
Apply the handbrake and start the engine. Press the clutch pedal, engage 3rd gear and try to move.
With a perfect clutch, the engine will stall already in the first quarter of the clutch pedal's return to its original position.
If the engine continues to run, the clutch is worn.
