Does the clutch fully disengage?

            0

If a grinding or creaking sound is heard when shifting into a higher gear, then often the reason is that the clutch is no longer disengaging correctly. Carry out the following check using the reverse gear. By this check, you will rule out possible damage to the gearbox.

Stages of work

Start the engine at idle.

Fully depress the clutch pedal, wait approximately three seconds, then engage reverse gear. If you now hear the same rattle, then the clutch is not disengaging cleanly.

Before repair, just in case, check the functioning of the control automatics in a specialized workshop.
