Does the clutch disengage completely? (Focus Turnier 1)

            0

If you hear a grinding or creaking noise when shifting into a higher gear, it is often because the clutch is no longer disengaging properly. Perform the following check using reverse gear. This check will rule out possible damage to the gearbox.

Stages of work

Start the engine at idle speed.

Depress the clutch pedal fully, wait about three seconds, then engage reverse. If you now hear the same grinding noise, the clutch is not disengaging cleanly.

Before repairs, just in case, check the functioning of the automatic control system in a specialized workshop.
