Pushing the car to start the engine (Focus Turnier 1)

            0

The Focus on strike with an automatic transmission cannot be pushed. With other versions, your shearing effort is also only worthwhile if the engine is theoretically OK. If you hear sparks crackling under the hood, it"s best to spare your strength. It can even be good for your budget, because if the sparks don"t follow the path of least resistance in a coordinated manner, unburned fresh fuel-air mixture can ignite in the exhaust system and destroy the catalytic converter.

Stages of work

Turn on the ignition. Since the generator gives too little power at higher gears, it is better to turn on the first gear when pushing.

Press the clutch and let your car PUSH.

As soon as the car accelerates sufficiently, sharply engage the clutch - the engine will turn over and should start.

Disengage the clutch, shift into gear, apply the handbrake and gently press the gas.

If your helpers haven't gotten the car up to speed enough to start the engine, try your luck in second gear.
