On carbureted engines, the fuel trap is installed in the vacuum pipe between the intake manifold and the ESC II unit.
1. Remove the negative cable from the battery.
2. Disconnect the vacuum pipes from the trap and remove it.
3. Install the fuel trap with the end labeled "CARB" toward the manifold and the end labeled "DIST" toward the block.
