Attention! In cars with hydraulic power steering there are two V-belts that are tensioned simultaneously.
1. Loosen the generator mounting bolts.
2. Tilt the generator away from the engine to tension the V-belt.
3. Measure the belt tension using a special device or measure the deflection of the largest section of the belt between the pulleys.
4. Tighten the tension adjustment clamp bolt first, then the front lower mount bolt, and finally the rear lower generator mount bolt.
5. Check the tension of the V-belt again and, if necessary, repeat the steps.
