Removal and installation the suspension arm (Scorpio 1)

1. Remove the rear wheel cover and loosen the wheel nuts.

2. Raise and secure the rear of the vehicle and remove the corresponding rear wheel.

3. Remove the rear muffler mounting cushion.

4. Disconnect the flexible brake hose from the brake line and plug it with a suitable plug. Disconnect the brake pipes from the mounting brackets on the lever.

5. Remove the brake drum.

6. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the mounting brackets on the lever. Remove the parking brake cable from the brake mechanism.

7. Unscrew the drive shaft from the hub.

8. Remove the hub.

9. Disconnect the anti-roll bar from the strut.

10. Place a jack under the suspension arm and raise the arm so that the entire load is on the suspension spring.

11. Unscrew the lower mount (indicated by the arrow) of the shock absorber.

12. Unscrew the bolts securing the rear axle beam to the body on the corresponding side after bending back the safety gasket and unscrewing the bolt securing the metal-rubber bushing, as well as the two bolts securing the support of this bushing to the body.

13. Carefully lower the lever down.

14. Remove the suspension spring together with the rubber support cup.



15. Remove the lever from the rear axle beam.

16. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
