Replacing the rear shock absorber (Scorpio 1)

1. Remove the trunk trim piece and the trunk bottom covering.

2. Raise the rear of the vehicle.

3. Using a suitable lift, support the lever through a wooden block.

4. On vehicles with adjustable ride height, disconnect the line from the shock absorber.

4. On vehicles with adjustable ride height, disconnect the line from the shock absorber.


5. Unscrew the bolt (indicated by the arrow) of the upper shock absorber mount.

5. Unscrew the bolt (indicated by the arrow) of the upper shock absorber mount.


6. Unscrew the bolt (indicated by the arrow) of the lower shock absorber mount and remove the shock absorber downwards.

7. To install the shock absorber, perform the steps in reverse order to the removal process.
