Models up to mid 1990 (all models except GHIA)
1. Remove the bumper.
2. Remove the old trim from the bumper.
3. Clean the adhesive residue from the bumper trim groove. Rinse the groove with methyl alcohol and dry it.
4. Apply a thin and even layer of adhesive primer into the groove and allow it to dry. The primer is supplied with the new pad.
5. Warm up the new lining slightly. Do not roll the lining into rings with a diameter smaller than 300 mm.
6. Remove the protective film from the trim. Insert the edge of the trim into the groove at one end of the groove for the trim in the bumper to a depth of 10 mm. Press the trim into the groove, moving along the bumper, and insert the other end into the groove at the other end of the bumper.
Attention! Do not cut the pads, as their ends are sealed against moisture penetration.
7. Install the bumper.
GHIA models and all models from mid 1990
The differences in removing and installing the pads are as follows:
- in addition to glue, the overlay is attached with nuts on studs;
- the adhesive tape for gluing the overlay is supplied separately from the overlay.
