1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the outside mirror control unit (see "Replacing the control unit for exterior mirrors").
3. Remove the inner door lock actuator handle (see "Replacing the inner handle of the front door lock drive").

4. Use a screwdriver to pry up the decorative trim on the door handle…

5. …and, overcoming the resistance of the plastic clamps…

6. …remove the cover.

7. Press the locking tabs of the wiring harness blocks of the window control buttons…

8. …and disconnect the pads from the button terminals.

9. Remove the two screws securing the door handle…

10. …and remove the handle.

11. Overcoming the resistance of the plastic holders, remove the door trim.

Note: This is how the plastic door trim holders are located.

Note: If the holders are damaged, replace them with new ones.
12. Install the front door trim in the reverse order of removal.
