Removal



1. Using a hook, release the side mirror mounting cover, then unscrew and remove the four fasteners. Lift up and remove the mount.

2. Press firmly on the glass from the inside with your hand and pull the rubber seal out of the upper corner (see Figure 19.2). While pulling the seal out successively, continue to press on the glass until you can remove it.

Installation



3. Insert a strong string into the groove of the seal so that its ends are at the lower corners of the seal. Thread the string through the opening under the fixed glass, placing the bottom edge of the seal on the flange of the opening, then, pressing on the glass from the outside, pull on the ends of the string so as to gradually position the seal along the edge of the window. Continue to press on the glass until it and the seal fit into the opening and push the string out (see Figure 19.3).
