Disassembly
1. Remove the glass in the frame from the window as described in Section 20, remove the seal and place the glass on a table covered with a clean cloth.
2. Remove the two fixing screws on one side of the window frame and disconnect the frame by inserting a screwdriver into the slot (see Figure 21.2).

3. Pull the top edge of the fixed glass and remove the glass from the frame. If necessary, cut the silicone seal with a knife to release the glass from the frame.
4. Press the window latch, remove the screw securing the pawl, and remove the pawl, latch, button, and spring (see Figure 21.4).
5. Remove the two screws, turn the latch cover and remove it. Remove the threaded bar, rubber gasket and O-rings and set them aside. Using a screwdriver, carefully bend the two plastic guides, tilt the top edge of the sliding glass outward, pull the glass out of the guide and remove it.

6. Remove the retainer from the frame.
7. Loosen the mounting screw and remove the end seal with the thrust block.
8. Clean off any traces of old sealant from the stationary glass, replace any worn or damaged parts as necessary, and have new silicone sealant readily available.
Assembly
9. The frame and window are assembled in the reverse order of disassembly. When assembling, please pay attention to the following points:
- a) Clean the frame and glass from grease and sealant with methyl alcohol. Before installing the fixed glass in place, apply a thin bead of fresh sealant to its edges;
- b) When installing the window latch, check that the O-rings and rubber gasket are correctly positioned;
- c) When installing the seal, align its drainage holes with the holes in the frame.
