Rear opening window — removal and installation (Transit 2)

Removal

1. Loosen and remove the two screws securing the window latch to the pillar, partially open the window and pull on the glass to disengage the window hinge wings. Remove the glass (see Figure 22.1).



2. If necessary, you can remove the glass seal from the frame. To remove the studs, unscrew the special lock nuts covered with five caps.

Installation

3. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Please note the following points:

• a) Make sure that the contact surfaces of the seal and frame are clean. When installing the seal, make sure that the drain holes are aligned;
• b) When installing the latch and hinge pins, replace the rubber sealing washers.
