Replacing the rear seat belt (Focus 2)

This subsection shows how to replace the middle and left rear seat passenger seat belt. The right passenger seat belt is replaced in the same way.

You will need a TORX T45 key.

4. Similarly, remove the middle passenger seat belt and the right passenger seat belt buckle in the rear seat.

5. Loosen the left passenger seat belt lower anchor screw…

6. …and, having unscrewed the screw, detach the lower mounting bracket from the base of the body.

7. Remove the middle trim of the left side of the body (see "Removing and installing trunk trim").

8. Unscrew the screw securing the inertia reel to the side…

NOTE: The inertia reel mounting screw is protected from loss by a plastic washer placed on its shaft and cannot be removed from the hole in the reel body.
