Accessory Belt Intermediate Pulley

General equipment:

• rolling jack
• wooden block

Withdrawal

All cars

1. Remove the accessory drive belt. For more information, refer to the Accessory Drive Belt chapter in this section.

Vehicles with 1.4L or 1.6L engine (100 HP)

2. Remove the accessory drive belt idler pulley.



Vehicles with 1.6L engine (90 HP), 1.8L or 2.0L

3. Lower the car.

4. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a broad tank of system of cooling.



5. Disconnect the expansion tank of the cooling system and place it aside.



6. Disconnect the power steering fluid reservoir and place it aside.

CAUTION: Insert a block of wood between the oil sump and the wheel jack.

NOTE: To remove the accessory drive belt idler pulley, the engine must be lifted slightly.

Place a rolling jack and block of wood under the oil sump and raise the engine just enough to take the load off the front engine mount.

8. Remove the accessory drive belt pulley.

Installation

1. To install, follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
