Accessory drive belt — removal and installation

Withdrawal

All cars

1. Disconnect a wire of weight from the accumulator. See Section 414-01 for more information.

2. Raise and support the vehicle. See Section 100-02 for more information.

3. Remove the mudguard.



Vehicles with 1.4L or 1.6L engine (100 HP)

NOTE: On vehicles with 1.4L or 1.6L engines (100 HP), equipped with an air conditioning system, the accessory drive belt tensioner rotates in a counterclockwise direction.

Remove the accessory drive belt.

• 1. Turn the accessory drive belt tensioner in a clockwise direction.
• 2. Remove the accessory drive belt.

Vehicles with 1.6L engine (90 HP), 1.8L or 2.0L

5. Remove the accessory drive belt.

• 1. Turn the accessory drive belt tensioner in a clockwise direction.
• 2. Remove the accessory drive belt.

Installation

1. Replace the elements in reverse order.
