Update of the initialization of the electric motor of the sliding roof
WARNING: The sunroof anti-pinch function does not operate while the sunroof motor initialization update procedure is being performed. Make sure that there are no foreign objects in the sunroof opening. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury.
NOTE: This procedure should only be performed if the sunroof motor has not been disconnected.
NOTE: The sunroof alignment must be performed before the sunroof motor initialization can be performed. For more information, refer to the Sunroof Alignment chapter in this section.
1. Press and hold the sunroof switch in the up/close position until the sunroof is in the fully open/ventilate position.
2. Release the sunroof switch.
3. Press and hold the sunroof switch in the up/down position for 30 seconds until there is a slight movement (approximately 2 mm) and the sunroof motor stops.
4. Release the sunroof switch.
5. Press and hold the sunroof switch in the up/down position again for 0.5 seconds until the sunroof stops (one full cycle).
Initial initialization of the sunroof motor

NOTE: The sunroof alignment must be performed before the sunroof motor initialization can be performed. For more information, refer to the Sunroof Alignment chapter in this section.
1. Press and hold the sunroof switch in the up/down position.
2. Release the sunroof switch.
3. Press and hold the sunroof switch in the up/down position again for 0.5 seconds until the sunroof stops (one full cycle).
Clearing the initialization of the sunroof motor
NOTE: The erase procedure should only be performed if the sunroof motor has been disconnected from the sunroof.
NOTE: This procedure is required before installing a previously used sunroof motor.
1. Connect the sunroof motor electrical connector.
2. Press and hold the sunroof switch in the up/down position until the sunroof motor stops.
3. Release the sunroof switch.
4. Press and hold the sunroof switch in the up/down position for 30 seconds. When the sunroof switch is held down, the sunroof motor rotates in one direction.
5. Release the sunroof switch.
6. Press the sunroof switch to the release/open position. If the sunroof motor does not rotate, the erasing procedure is successful.
7. If the sunroof motor rotates (when the sunroof switch is pressed in the down/up position), repeat the procedure.
