Type and application of body sealant
Sealant for clamping flanges
Use a clamp flange sealant that meets Ford specification ESK-M4G245-A, which does not run, dries quickly and remains semi-flexible. This sealant can be used to seal seams, for example, in the following areas:
- front floor panel and rear floor panel,
- inner wheel arch panel and outer wheel arch panel,
- instrument panel,
- body trim panel,
- door flanges.
Also use clamp flange sealant meeting Ford specification ESK-M4G245-A to seal the exterior clamp holes of the moldings, windshield, rear window, and side window quarters.
Anti-corrosion materials
Use locally produced sealants and anti-corrosion materials that penetrate through the weld joint to treat all body elements.
