Adjustment

1.
NOTE: Adjusting the hood position without a lock

Remove the hood latch. For additional information, refer to Section 501-14A.

2.
NOTE: The position of the rear of the hood in relation to the height of the fenders cannot be adjusted.

Loosen the hood hinge screws approximately half a turn.

3. Adjust the position of the hood in the longitudinal direction.
  • 1. Adjust the position of the hood so that the trailing edges of the fender and the edge of the hood are in line.
  • 2. Check that the gaps in relation to the left and right wings are parallel and adjust them if necessary.

4. Adjust the gaps in relation to the left and right wings.
  • The gaps to the wings should be the same size on both sides. The gaps can be equalized by opening the hood, then fixing the lid with a support stand and adjusting the gaps by pressing the lid to the left or right.

5. Tighten the screws.

6.
NOTE: The hood must rest flat on both rubber bumpers.

Adjust the front of the hood to the height of the fenders.
  • Adjust the hood to the height of the wings using rubber buffers.

7.
NOTE: Clearances and edge alignment must be adjusted prior to installing the hood latch.

Install the hood lock.
  • The hood lock should be installed in such a way that the hood lid closes without effort and the gaps on the left and right do not change.
