- Pull the lever located under the steering column cover until it stops (Fig. 1).
- Press down the safety latch with your fingers, located on the inside front part of the hood just to the right of the brand emblem.
- Raise the hood and secure it in the upper position with the stop.
To close the hood:
- Remove the support by slightly lifting the hood and put it back in place;
- Let the hood drop under its own weight and check that the lock is securely closed.
NOTE: The operation of the lock and safety latch should be checked every 10,000 km. The lubricant should be renewed as necessary.
