Rear door window lifter (Focus 1)

Removal

1. Roll down the door window until the glass is halfway down.

2. Remove the door trim panel. For additional information, refer to Section 501-05.

3. Remove the side impact protection reinforcement.



4. Remove the door speaker (if equipped).



5. Disconnect the speaker electrical connector.



6. Disconnect the door latch release lever.

CAUTION: Do not touch the adhesive surface as this will disrupt the re-bonding.

Detach the seal.

• Using a plastic knife (disposable), cut the butyl strip, which will allow you to pull the seal.

8. Disconnect the window glass from the regulator.

• 1. Push the pin out.
• 2. Push the bushing out.
• 3. Remove the window glass from the regulator clamp.

CAUTION: Make sure the window glass has adequate support at the top of the opening.

Using suitable hooks, lift and secure the window glass.



10. Disconnect the regulator. Unscrew the screws.



11. Remove the regulator.

Installation

1. Place the regulator in the desired position on the door.



2. Install the regulator. Tighten the screws.

CAUTION: Make sure the window glass has adequate support at the top of the opening.

Remove the hooks.



4. Secure the window glass to the regulator clamp.

• 1. Push the sleeve in.
• 2. Push the pin in.
• 3. Push the door glass down firmly to secure the pin in the regulator clamp.

5. Secure the seal.



6. Secure the door latch release lever.





7. Connect the door speaker electrical connector.



8. Install the door speaker.



9. Install the side impact protection reinforcement.



10. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Section 501-05 for additional information.
