Removal the intermediate bearing

Disassembly
1. Remove the propeller shaft.
2. Release the safety gasket and unscrew the cross-joint fork mounting bolt. Remove the U-shaped mounting plate to the side, first marking its position.
3. Disconnect the cross-joint forks and remove the protective cover from the shaft together with the intermediate bearing housing.
4. Using a universal two-arm puller, remove the bearing from the shaft together with the casing and sealing ring.
Assembly
1. Fill the space between the bearing and the protective casing with universal grease.
2. Install the bearing together with the casing on the shaft using a bushing of the appropriate diameter (the red side of the bearing should be directed towards the forks of the nearest cross-shaped joint).
3. Place the housing with the protective cover on the bearing mounted on the shaft.
4. Insert the cross-joint forks.
5. Screw the fork mounting bolt together with the gasket that prevents it from unscrewing into the front shaft and tighten it enough to allow the U-shaped mounting plate to be inserted.
6. Connect both parts of the cardan shaft by installing the joint forks at both ends in the same plane. Failure to do so will not ensure shaft balancing and will cause severe vibration.
7. Install the U-shaped plate, tighten the connecting bolt to the required torque and secure it from unscrewing by bending the safety gasket.
8. Install the cardan shaft.
