Generator
The generator does not require maintenance, except for periodic checking of the tension of the V-belt drive.
In case of charging the car battery from an additional power source, the wires of the car's electrical equipment should be disconnected from its terminals. This will protect the generator rectifier, which is very sensitive to high voltage, from damage or from incorrect connection of the current source.
Warning! Do not disconnect the battery while the engine is running. Also, do not use a high-power rectifier to start the engine.
Fuses
The fuse box is located on the left side of the engine compartment (at the rear). It is covered by a transparent plastic cover, on which the electrical circuits protected by these fuses are marked. Fuses protecting additional equipment devices are located on the corresponding power supply wires.
If a fuse blows, it should be replaced. If after a short time the new fuse also blows, this indicates damage to this circuit. The cause of the damage should be found as quickly as possible and eliminated. It is recommended to carry a spare set of fuses in the car.
