Checking the brake fluid level (Sierra)

            0

The brake fluid level in the reservoir should be checked at least once a week. It should not fall below the minimum level. If the brake system is in good working order, the brake fluid should be topped up to the maximum level every 10,000 km of the vehicle's mileage. If its level drops more quickly, the location of the brake system leak should be identified and eliminated.

Brake fluid damages the varnished surface. When adding brake fluid, do not allow it to come into contact with the car body. Otherwise, immediately wash off the spilled fluid with cold water.

Checking the brake fluid level in vehicles with anti-lock braking system (ABS)

1. Turn off the ignition.

2. Press the brake pedal at least 20 times until significant resistance is felt (called a hard brake pedal).

3. Turn the key to position I.

4. Wait until the ABS hydraulic pump stops.

5. Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir, which should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks.

Checking the tightness of the brake system

The condition and tightness of the brake system pipes should be checked every 20,000 km of vehicle mileage.
