1 - rear axle beam, 2 - oblique lever, 3 - shock absorber, 4 - suspension spring, 5 - wheel bearing housing, 6 - tapered bearings, 7 - sealing ring, 8 - metal-rubber bushing of the beam, 9 - metal-rubber lever bushing


1. Unhook a fragment of the trunk lining (berlin body) or tilt the rear seat backrest forward and unscrew the luggage compartment cover from the front (combi body), and also remove the casing of the upper shock absorber mount.

2. Raise and secure the vehicle.

3. Using a suitable hoist, support the lever through the wooden support.



4. Loosen the shock absorber top bolt (in cars with a Berlin body, in the photo) or unscrew the nut of the upper shock absorber mounting, while simultaneously holding the shock absorber rod with a wrench for internal hexagons (in vehicles with a combi body).

5. Loosen the lower shock absorber bolt (in cars with a Berlin body) or unscrew the nut of the lower shock absorber mounting (in vehicles with a combi body) and pull the shock absorber down.

6. To install the shock absorber, follow the steps in reverse order with respect to the removal process.
