Removing the generator

Withdrawal

1. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery, as well as the multi-pin connector at the rear of the generator (after removing the safety clasp).

2. Loosen the alternator mounting bolts.

3. Turn the alternator towards the engine and remove the V-belt from the alternator pulley.

4. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the generator.

Installation

1. Insert the generator, screw in the bolts of its fastening and tighten them by hand.

2. Connect and secure the multi-wire connector at the rear of the generator.



3. Install and tighten V-belt (1 - tensioner bolt, A - belt deflection (A = 10 mm)).

4. Tighten the preload adjusting bolt, then the front lower mounting bolt, and finally the alternator rear lower mounting bolt.

5. Connect ground wire to battery.

6. Check V-belt tension. If necessary, loosen the alternator mounting bolts, tension the V-belt and tighten the bolts again, starting with the preload adjustment bolt, and then the alternator front and rear mounting bolts.
