Car heating and ventilation system

Heater housing

Removal
1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
2. In the engine compartment, install spring clamps on the flexible coolant lines connected to the heater.
3. Disconnect the cover and air duct seals.
4. Remove the center console of the front panel together with the glove compartment (fastened with six bolts).
5. Remove the heating control lever brackets on the front panel and unscrew the control lever housing (three screws), move it down and disconnect the electrical wires.
6. Disconnect the air ducts from the heating unit.
7. Disconnect the two air supply control cables on the left side.
8. Unscrew the heating unit mounting nuts and remove it.
Installation
To install the heating unit, perform the steps in the reverse order of the removal process. Before installing the floor trim, adjust the air supply control cables. After installing the heater, bleed the air from the engine cooling system and replenish the coolant to the required level.
