The manual gearbox can be removed without dismantling the engine. Removing the gearbox is necessary for its replacement or, respectively, repair of the entire drive, or when replacing the clutch. Since it is in no case advisable to repair the gearbox or transmission with improvised means, only the removal of the unit as a whole is described here.
The cars are equipped with mechanical gearboxes of different designs. Models before 1988 are equipped with the N gearbox. Later models are equipped with the MT-75 gearbox.
