1) With the piston of cylinder 1 at TDC, turn the scale of the linear displacement dial indicator so that the arrow of the device points to O. When the distance from the piston to TDC when it approaches TDC is 2.85 mm, the dial indicator should show the value that is on the plastic cover on the side of the injection pump. To measure the piston displacement, remove the valve spring and place the valve on the piston.
