Removal and installation of a cowl

1. Open the hood.

2. Use paint to mark the position of the hood hinges relative to the hood.



3. unscrew the bolts (indicated by arrows) hood hinge mountings.

4. Disconnect the insulating panel from the bottom of the hood and remove it.

5. Disconnect the windshield washer hoses.

6. Disconnect the wires from the underhood lamp.

7. With the help of an assistant holding the hood, unscrew the bolts of the hood hinges.

8. Remove the hood. In order not to damage the varnished surface of the front fenders, the hood should be removed by two people.

9. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.

10. Check and, if necessary, adjust the position of the hood in the horizontal plane so that the gaps around the hood perimeter are the same everywhere.

11. The height of the hood is adjusted by rotating the rubber stops located on the sides in front of the engine compartment.



12. To adjust the hood latch, unscrew the locknut (2) locking pin and by turning the locking pin with a screwdriver (1), adjust the installation height of the finger.

13. With the lock nut unscrewed, the locking pin can be moved in a horizontal plane and thus ensure a clear fixation of the hood latch.
