Checking the level and adding oil to the gearbox

You will need: hex wrench «for 8», syringe.

Note. No oil change required (topping up only) throughout the life of the gearbox.

Note. Fill the gearbox with BO 400075 SAE 80W oil recommended by the manufacturer according to Ford specification. If it is not available, Castrol or Mobil gear oil of API GL-4/5, SAE 80W-90 quality class can be used as a substitute.

Note. If the vehicle is operated for a long time at an ambient temperature below -30°C, we recommend replacing the oil filled in at the factory with SAE 75W gear oil.

1. Place the vehicle on a lift or pit.



2. Press the latches..



3.... and remove the gearshift cover.



4. Turn out a stopper of an oil-filling opening of the transmission located on a transmission case.



5. Bend the wire as shown in the photo..



6.... and measure the oil level. It should be at the edge of the oil filler hole or just below.



7. If the oil level is low, fill the oil with a syringe through the oil filler hole until it comes out of the hole, then tighten the oil filler plug.
