1. For ease of operation, remove the fuel tank filler pipe cover from its lever (see "Removal and installation the fuel tank filler pipe hatch cover").
2. Using a screwdriver, press the lock retainer and press it with your finger…
3. …and, pushing the lock out of the socket in the lever, remove it.
4. To reinstall the lock, insert it into the socket of the lever and press the lock with your finger until it is secured in the lever with the retainer.
