Components of the anti-theft alarm system: 1 - Infrared transmitter; 2 - Function indicator, red LED; 3 - Engine hood switch; 4 - Direction indicator relay with flashing light; 5 - Anti-theft alarm module; 6 - Infrared receiver; 7 - Position switch of the closing cylinder; 8 - Position lock switch; 9 - Vehicle interior control sensors; 10 - Tailgate/trunk lid locking cylinder switch; 11 - Position switch for rear lid/trunk lid; 12 - Sound signal of the signaling device; 13 - Car key

In the door locking cylinder "1" there is a position switch "2", which converts the movement of the locking cylinder into an electrical signal "2" and transmits it further to the anti-theft alarm module. After that, the alarm module checks whether all the doors, the rear lid of the body and the engine hood are closed. If everything is closed, the module activates the anti-theft alarm device. This is indicated by the rapid flashing of the function indicator in the digital clock or in the trip computer. After 20 seconds, the device is activated and the flashing becomes slower.
If a door, engine hood or rear lid (trunk lid) is opened while the alarm system is activated, the alarm is triggered via the corresponding switches and electrical circuits. The same happens if the radio connector is removed or the ignition is turned on.
In the event of an alarm, an audible signal sounds for 30 seconds, which is reproduced by an additionally installed horn. At the same time, the warning light flashes for about five minutes. The starter interlock relay prevents the engine from starting while the anti-theft alarm is activated. The alarm system is deactivated by unlocking the car using the key or remote control.
Car interior control

The anti-theft alarm system can be combined with monitoring inside the vehicle. For this purpose, two ultrasonic sensors "1" and "2" are installed as additional parts in the B-pillars (middle pillars of the passenger compartment). The ultrasonic sensor consists of a receiving and transmitting part. When the anti-theft alarm is activated, the sensor transmits sounds of a certain ultrasonic frequency into the vehicle's passenger compartment. The receiver monitors the reflected waves and compares them with the frequency received shortly before. If a significant difference is detected, the alarm is triggered. Monitoring inside the vehicle's passenger compartment is activated by means of the so-called "double locking", see paragraph 17.31.
