Anti-theft alarm device

            0

The FORD MONDEO anti-theft alarm is activated, depending on the equipment, by the vehicle key or by an infrared remote control.

Components of the anti-theft alarm system: 1 - Infrared transmitter; 2 - Operation indicator, red LED; 3 - Engine hood switch; 4 - Relay of direction indicators with flashing light; 5 - Anti-theft alarm module; 6 - Infrared receiver; 7 - Position switch of the closing cylinder; 8 - Position switch of the lock; 9 - Control sensors of the car interior; 10 - Switch of the closing cylinder for the rear cover of the car / trunk lid; 11 - Position switch for the rear cover / trunk lid; 12 - Sound signal of the signaling device; 13 - Car key

In the closing cylinder of the door -1- there is a position switch -2-, which converts the movement of the closing cylinder into an electrical signal -2- and transmits it further to the anti-theft alarm module. The signal module then monitors whether all doors, tailgate and engine hood are closed. If everything is closed, the module activates the alarm anti-theft device. This is indicated by a quick flashing of the function indicator in the digital clock or in the on-board computer. After 20 seconds, the device wakes up and the flashing becomes slower.

If a door, engine hood or tailgate is opened while the alarm system is activated (trunk lid), then an alarm is activated via the appropriate switches and electrical circuits. The same happens if the radio connector is removed or the ignition is turned on.

In case of an alarm, a sound signal sounds for 30 seconds, which is reproduced by an additionally installed horn. At the same time, the warning light flashes for about five minutes. The starter interlock relay prevents the engine from starting while the anti-theft alarm device is activated. The alarm system is deactivated by unlocking the vehicle with the key or remote control.

Car interior monitoring

The anti-theft alarm device can be combined with monitoring inside the vehicle. For this purpose, two ultrasonic sensors -1- and -2- are installed as additional parts in the B-pillars (saloon center pillars). The ultrasonic sensor consists of a receiving and transmitting part. When the anti-theft alarm is activated, the sensor transmits sounds of a certain frequency of the ultrasonic range into the car interior. The receiver monitors the reflected waves and compares them with the frequency received shortly before. If a significant difference is found, an alarm is triggered. Control inside the vehicle interior is activated using the so-called "double lock", see No. 17.31.
