Removal
Disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.
For 2008 FORD radio, remove the two strips using the appropriate wire hook.

Lightly press the puller "4" outward "6", thereby pressing the retaining tabs "5" inward "7". In this position, pull out the radio receiver evenly, without distorting it.
Mark the speaker connectors with tape (left/right) and remove. Remove the antenna wire connector. Remove the B+ and ground connector.
Remove the puller by squeezing the retaining clips together with a small screwdriver.
Installation
Install the electrical connections and antenna on the rear of the radio, see "Removal".
Insert the plastic holder "4" into the bus "3" and insert the radio "2" into the dashboard so that the retaining springs are fixed.
Connect the battery ground wire.
Turn on the radio and check its operation. If the receiver is equipped with an anti-theft code, set the code. After installation and restoration of the supply voltage, the device will function again only if the key code is entered.
Setting the key code
The radio receiver code is entered into the key code card, which is attached to the receiver operating instructions. If the code is lost, the Ford supplier can determine the key code by the radio type, serial number and vehicle registration document.
Set the ignition key to position "1".
After turning on the radio, either three dashes or the word "CODE" and three dashes will flash in the display field. For some radios, press the "SELECT" key first. In this case, a four-digit key code is required.
Using the station keys 1-3 (1 to 4), set a three-digit or four-digit code. In this case, key 1 sets the first position, key 2 sets the second position, key 3 sets the third position, and key 4 sets the fourth position. Keep the corresponding key pressed until the desired number appears in the display field.
As soon as the three-digit key code appears in the display field, press the station key 4. For receivers with a four-digit key code, press the "SELECT" key. As a result, the code is stored in memory, and the device becomes ready for use.
Attention! There are 10 possible attempts to enter the key code. Each time you try to enter the code, the device is permanently blocked. This means that it must be programmed again. With the ignition key in position 1 and the device switched on, three consecutive code entries are possible at first. If three incorrect codes are entered, there is a 30-minute pause, during which the device must be switched on and the ignition key in position "1". Three dashes are constantly displayed on the display. After about 30 minutes, the dashes begin to flash, after which another key code can be entered. A total of 10 attempts are possible. As a result of each additional attempt, the device is blocked.
Remember the station data again.
Instructions for additional installation of the radio receiver
Warning! If you are not using a serial connection cable, be sure to ensure that there are no uninsulated wires lying around. Otherwise, a short circuit may cause a fire. Suitable adapter cables for connecting the radio are available commercially.
Ensure that only type-tested interference suppression components are used. Ford-specific interference suppression components are available with installation instructions.
Tune the radio to receive with an antenna. To do this, tune to a weak medium-wave transmitter at about 1400 kHz. If there is no medium-wave transmitter, you can also use noise for tuning. Turn the screw of the antenna matching element (front left in the radio case) with a small screwdriver until there is good reception or the highest noise level.
Attention! In this case, turn the antenna matching element screw only a maximum of 1/2 turn.
