In the Fort Mondeo, all instruments are combined on the control panel. After removing the instrument panel, you can remove the instruments or lamps.

Removal
Disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.
Warning! This will erase data in electronic memory devices, such as the engine fault memory device or the radio code. Please read the section carefully "Removing and installing the battery", before disconnecting it.
Press the clock or trip computer with a small screwdriver. To avoid damaging the panel, use a paper gasket. Remove the connector.

Press the rear window heating switch, placing a paper gasket - Remove the connector.
Press the windshield heating switch, placing the paper gasket. Remove the connector.
Press the signal display, placing a paper gasket. Remove the connector.
Remove the ventilation grille, see paragraph 17.5.

Remove the tachometer and rubber tip. While doing this, squeeze the ring to release the shaft, see Fig.

Remove five screws and remove the instrument panel trim.

Remove the five screws securing the instrument panel.

Pull the instrument panel forward slightly and disconnect the two multi-pin connectors. If necessary, remove the steering wheel for this purpose, see paragraph 13.1.
Installation
Attach the multi-pin connector and install the instrument cluster.
Secure the instrument panel with five screws.
Screw the instrument panel trim.
Install the steering wheel if it was removed, see paragraph 13.1.
Fix the tachometer in the dashboard. Check the reliability of its installation by slightly pulling. Install the rubber tip.
Install the ventilation grill, see paragraph 17.5.
Put on the connector and install the signal display.
Insert the windshield and rear window heating switches after installing the connectors.
Install the clock or trip computer, having first put on the connector.
Connect the ground (-) wire.
Set the clock to the current time.
Enter the anti-theft code into the radio memory.
