Steering column switch, turn signal relay (Mondeo 1)

Removal

Attention! The switches are located in the multifunctional switch and can only be removed or replaced as a set. In this case, the removal of the left switch (turn signals, high beam) is described, the right switch (windshield wiper control) is removed in the same way.

Disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.

Warning! This will erase data in electronic memory devices, such as the engine fault memory device or the radio code. Please read the section carefully "Removing and installing the battery", before disconnecting it.

Remove the upper steering column trim. To do this, remove the rubber cuff and retaining rings "1", unscrew the two bolts "2" and remove the trim upwards.



Press down on the locking tab "1" and remove the switch.



Remove the multi-pin connector "2".

Disconnect the turn signal relay from the switch housing.

Installation

Insert the turn signal relay into the switch housing.

Install the multi-pin connector onto the switch.

Install the switch and secure it.

Install the upper steering column cover and secure with two bolts.

Put on the rubber cuff and rubber rings.

Connect the battery ground (-) wire.

Set the current time on the clock.

Set the anti-theft code for the radio.
