When replacing pistons, in most cases it is necessary to bore the cylinder block. After assembling the pistons with the connecting rods, you can put on the piston rings one by one using piston ring pliers. The piston ring locks should be oriented as follows:
- the upper rings must be offset by half a turn from the oil scraper ring lock;
- the middle rings must be turned a quarter of a turn relative to the oil scraper ring lock;
- oil scraper rings must be positioned in such a way that the locks are in line with the axis of the piston pin.
