1. Remove the cylinder head and oil pan.

1. Remove the cylinder head and oil pan.


2. Check the numbers on the connecting rod caps and connecting rods, as well as their position. Connecting rod #1 is on the timing drive side, and the numbers are on the camshaft side.

3. Turn the crankshaft by the pulley mounting bolt until the connecting rod of the first cylinder is in the lower position. Unscrew the connecting rod cover and remove it together with the connecting rod bearing.

4. Remove the piston with the connecting rod upwards.

5. Remove the remaining pistons in the same manner.
